Freedom Backpack
Since the beginning of Run 2 Rescue we have distributed backpacks filled with essential items tailored to meet survivors immediate needs. These backpacks were thoughtfully prepared, containing items such as toiletries, clothing, and other necessities to help them begin their journey toward healing and restoration.
In 2020, during the challenging days of COVID-19, the Lord gave Shannon a vision to expand the scope and impact of our backpack initiative. Inspired by this, she was given the name "Freedom Backpacks," symbolizing hope and empowerment.
Run 2 Rescue partners with law enforcement, probation, courts, group homes, and other organizations to ensure these backpacks reach those who need them most. Starting in July, our team assembles freedom backpacks and delivers them across the region, including shipping to out-of-state.
The Freedom Backpack project has become a core element of Run 2 Rescue's efforts, serving the community and reaching those in greatest need.
